Vice President of Pro Sales


Location: East Greenbush, NY
Status: Full-Time

THE COMPANY:

Autotask Corporation is a venture-backed company that is pioneering a new category of software – IT Services Management – and delivering it on-demand through the Software as a Service (SaaS) business model. The software fills a large void in the IT Solution Provider market (targeting VAR’s, MSPs, Systems Integrators, and IT Consultants). Traditionally, these businesses have been managed with spreadsheets, white boards, stand-alone applications and home-grown solutions. Autotask an integrated web-based management tool that allows them to streamline their business operations. A recent survey has found that Autotask customers have realized an average 15% increase in captured billable time and reduction of 85% in the amount of duplicate data entry requirements.

Autotask’s vision is to become the de facto standard business processing platform for the IT solution provider to: manage their businesses from the initial client contact via CRM to other functions including Project Management, Time Management, Reporting and Service Desk. Autotask integrates with the major software programs providing enhanced flexibility as well as with network monitoring and tools used by MSP’s.

According to Gartner, the remote operation & management of networks and IT infrastructure is the fastest growth segment in the IT market, forecast to grow at a compound annual rate of 36% through 2008. Autotask Corporation has been growing significantly faster than industry segment estimates.

SUMMARY:

The ideal candidate must have a background and deep understanding of the IT Services industry. This individual is a leader that can lead, train and motivate an inside sales team selling our Autotask Professional Services Automation SaaS solution. Candidate needs to have the experience and ability to drive lead development from referrals, community groups, associations and vendor programs.

CANDIDATE KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of Seven years of direct sales and sales management experience in a software company.
  • Candidate must have a college degree
  • Demonstrated record of progressive success with a broad background in direct account sales to the SMB market as Director or VP Sales.
  • Experience selling On Demand, SaaS (Software as a Service) or ASP (Application Service Provider) subscription model.
  • Candidate must have experience in the IT Services marketplace selling to MSP’s or VARs.
  • Candidate must have had senior sales roles for a smaller organization or run a sales region in a larger company.
  • Built and managed sales organization consisting of Senior Sales Reps, Junior Sales reps and Sales Engineers in a fast tracked high growth environment.
  • Possess strong coaching, mentoring and recruiting skills.
  • Have sold successfully in a highly competitive marketplace
  • Uses standardized sales training methodologies to maximize performance (Solution Selling, Sandler)
  • Understands and uses sales reporting tools to monitor performance and sales goals.
  • Candidate must be hands-on with superb individual selling skills.
  • Candidate must be able to develop and manage the execute of lead development activities and programs for the direct sales team
  • Experience selling ERP, CRM, Supply Chain, Project Management applications is a plus
