EAST GREENBUSH, NY - Autotask Corporation, the world’s leading provider of hosted IT Business Management Software, today announced the completion of the first phase of its integration with award-winning StoreGrid Provider Edition online backup software from Vembu Technologies, a leading provider of online backup software for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and managed hosting providers.

The new integration allows service providers to use Autotask to capture StoreGrid’s monitoring alerts and automatically convert them into service tickets which can be handled and processed with Autotask’s powerful workflow automation engine. This seamless workflow ensures that, in the event of an online backup failure alert from StoreGrid, a service ticket will be immediately created, and escalated as necessary with proper notifications to ensure that the failure event is properly serviced.

“Autotask is the hub of all our service operations,” said Jay Mellon, co-founder of AtNetPlus, a leading managed services and hosting company based in Stow, OH, that uses StoreGrid. “The integration between StoreGrid and Autotask means we have one less thing to worry about.  This gives us confidence that if a customer has a backup issue it will be properly escalated through our processes.”

StoreGrid is powerful, comprehensive and secure remote backup software designed to be easy to set up, configure and administer. StoreGrid Service Provider Edition enables MSPs, VARs and other Service Providers (ISPs and Hosting Providers) to provide remote backup services to their clients at an affordable cost.

“StoreGrid powers the online backup business of more than 2500 service providers worldwide,” said Lenin Srinivasan, Manager – Product Marketing of Vembu Technologies. “MSPs often deploy multiple StoreGrid backup servers at different customer sites, so having everything centralized in the Autotask IT Business Management platform makes managing their remote backup offerings easier and more efficient with minimum administration time.”

In commenting on the latest integration, Autotask senior vice-president of business development, Len DiCostanzo said, “We’re delighted that Vembu has taken the initiative to tap into our open API to build its first integration with Autotask and making StoreGrid’s online backup services available to the million-plus businesses around the world currently served by Autotask users. We look forward to working with Vembu and extending the integration even further to benefit our mutual customers and partners.”
