ExecuteCommand API
The "ExecuteCommand" API uses simple commands appended to standard HTTP web addresses to launch specific Autotask windows from within any application or device that can open a bookmark or construct a URL.The functions that can be automated through this HTTP-based API include:
- Opening a New Ticket window for a specific Account based on incoming Account Phone Number
- Opening a new ticket or Ticket Details for a specific Ticket (by Ticket Number)
- Opening the Edit Account or Account details window for a specific account again, based on Account Phone Number or ID)
- And many more
These web-based commands can be pre-written and stored or programmed into other applications and devices to automate many key repetitive business processes.
Autotask AutoForms Designer™
AutoForms Designer allows you to generate the HTML code for web forms you can post anywhere that will automatically populate your Autotask CRM database upon submission. You can post the form to virtually any external web site, and the data entered in the form ends up in Autotask. This powerful tool will automatically create new accounts and contacts, sales opportunities, notes in the system, even send out notifications and alerts that the form has been submitted.
