Autotask Wins National Marketing Excellence Award
Recognized for "Generating Demand Through Targeted Campaigns" along with industry giants SAP and Microsoft

EAST GREENBUSH, NY - Autotask Corporation, the leading provider of web-based business management software for IT service companies, has been named a Winner of a Marketing Excellence Award by ITSMA, the leading marketing association for technology, communications, and professional services providers. In winning a Gold Award, Autotask joins industry giants as Accenture, Avaya, Bearingpoint, Infosys, Iron Mountain, Microsoft (two awards), SAP, and Satyam.

An international jury of marketing executives and experts selected the winners based on excellence in innovation, program execution, and business results. The awards honor excellence at two levels: diamond and gold.

The award citation for Autotask said: "Autotask, a provider of Web-based Professional Services Automation (PSA) software, was progressing along in a crowded category with 70 competitors with only a shoestring marketing budget at its disposal. Although the company was generating inquiries, the prospects came from a huge cross-section of business types, making each sale a difficult and slow consultative process. Something had to change. By doing careful research, Autotask's marketing team identified the perfect niche for its PSA software: IT service providers. Autotask narrowed its focus to this small, well-defined community, concentrated on leveraging the Web as a lead generation 'machine' and doubled the size of its business in just five months."
