Autotask Offers Professional Services Group
Autotask Brings Best Practices on Service Excellence for the Help Desk, Service Dispatching and IT Managed Services to Technology Service Provider Clients
RENSSELAER, NY - Autotask has announced the deployment of a new Professional Services Group to help IT Service and solution providers maximize the benefits of the company's productivity software solution. The group uses "best practices" to provide consulting services that streamline client business processes and result in profitable growth strategies.
"Technology alone can't overcome the challenges that come with establishing new business processes or fixing broken ones," said Adam Stewart, Vice President of Client Services, Autotask. "Autotask's suite of service-enabling tools are ideal for the growing number of IT Service and Software Development companies. Our Professional Services Group gives service providers insight on best practices and gives value-added resellers (VARs) the know-how to get their service businesses up and running quickly and efficiently."
Tim Johnston, CTO of NPower Greater DC Region, a Washington-based VAR that caters to the technology needs of nonprofit organizations, began using Autotask in November. Already, NPower has gotten "a much better handle on managing the business, including profitability," he said. The VAR has engaged Autotask's new Professional Services Group "to help jump-start those users who needed some extra hand holding...and to learn how to get the most from the system as quickly as possible," Johnston said.
Based on recommendations and feedback from the company's IT service provider clients, the Autotask Professional Services Group focuses on four main areas:
- Business process re-engineering
- Help desk best practices
- Project management best practices
- Scheduling and dispatching best practices
More services are under development. Consulting on these specialties is done using a multi-step process including: intensive evaluation, workflow mapping to identify problems, disconnects and inconsistencies in processes, recommendations for improvement, and lastly, implementation support and training for staff.
