Autotask Conducts Industry’s Largest Global Managed Services Market Study

April 20, 2015
In a survey of more than 1,800 respondents – one of the largest known managed services providers (MSPs) studies to date – the Autotask 2015 Managed Services Market Study found that MSPs are more focused than ever on managing endpoints and using remote monitoring and management (RMM) solutions to increase visibility and scale their offerings to meet the ongoing demands of managing cloud-based solutions.

The survey found that 62% of MSPs already manage between 100 and 2,500 endpoints and expect this number to grow exponentially. For this reason, 54% of respondents are increasing their focus on endpoints.
Additional key findings from the Market Study include:
• Three out of four MSP respondents report that networking and projects still account for nearly 40% of revenues.
• 68% ranked reliability as the key criteria for selecting a remote monitoring and endpoint management solution.
• Backup and recovery is the number one cloud service for potential revenue followed by security and office productivity apps.
The Market Study was conducted by the research firm Decision Tree Labs and included responses from managed services providers across the globe.
